Valarcraft PDF Reader Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 15, 2026.
The app
Valarcraft PDF Reader is an offline PDF reader from ValarCraft LLC. It has no accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking SDKs or internet permission. The app does not send your documents, filenames, reading position or device identifiers to the publisher.
Documents you choose
The app accesses only the document you select through Android's file picker or explicitly open from another app. It copies the document into its own private cache so that content-provider streams can be read offline. Rendering happens through Android's PDF renderer in an isolated process on the same device. The original document is not edited or deleted.
Local retention and deletion
The app retains its current document, filename and reading position locally while you use it. Normal close or cancellation requests deletion of the private copy. Android may retain a private copy to restore an unfinished reading task offline. Abandoned copies older than one day are cleaned on a later opening. Android can also clear cached files. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it removes the app's local data. No account deletion process is needed because there are no app accounts. Your original PDFs remain outside the app.
Other services
Android, Google Play and any document provider you choose have their own privacy policies. A cloud file provider may use its own internet connection to supply your selected PDF. Those services are separate from this reader.
Support
If you choose to contact the publisher by email, the address and message you send can be used to respond to your inquiry. Please avoid sending confidential documents. Support correspondence is retained while the inquiry and required follow-up are being handled. Contact the publisher with questions about information you have sent.
Privacy contact: contact@valarcraft.com.
Changes
Future changes to app data handling will be reflected in this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration.
